Jul~Sep'09 Review:

I entered Forex trading for the fund. This coupled with option writing. I believe it will accelerate the fund performance in near future. World economy has resumed uptrend, a good sign for early birds who invest in equity.

Jan~Mar '09 Fund Review:

The quarter that was a roller coaster, interesting though. The fund barely broke even, yet I'd say still better than others. One of the biggest surprise was Mechmar that turned into a PN17 category, and the counter almost dropped 90% in just one week. But I still have faith in this company because of their business nature that generates regular income; their only problem is mounting debt that needs to be restructured and be paid off.

As for others, nothing much changed. Overseas investment recovered partially during the quarter under review.

Oct ~ Dec '08 Fund Review

Apparently I haven't understood equity options trading well. I lost 3 times in the quarter, and this costed some amount to the fund performance. Other than that, everything else was still ok. At the moment I park my overseas investment in AIG as I think it has potential to go up again.

What a terrible week it was, almost everything dropped in the markets around the world. The only thing up was inflation. How ironic!

Jul'08~Sept'08 Fund Summary:

After two mistake cum speculative purchases of RHB Capital and Malaysia Building Society Berhad (MBSB), I started afresh by using Buffett's tenets, having to pay a price of close to 20% loss in fund value. After due diligence, I purchased Efficient e-Solutions, Mechmar, MBf Holdings and Pantech. For this quarter, Efficient and MBf made some progress whereas another two were down.

As for real estate and real estate investment trust (REIT), I purchased Tower REIT and a residential property in Penang. On top of these, I also traded on AirAsia shares in anticipation of crude oil price decline, with some capital gain.

I started US stock/equity option trading on 2nd of September, 2008. So far only one trade on Southwest Airline was completed, with some capital gain. Second one was on Lululemon Atheletica, which is on unrealized gain, I haven't closed the position. I personally find that Buffett's investing tenets may reduce risk in equity option trading; but I doubt he will any word of fevor about this.

The fund was down by 7.57% in the quarter. At the moment I am accumulating cash for the Penang property purchase.

I added component of overseas investment account. It maninly consists of US stock options trading at the moment. Later I will add on more investment tools if there's any attractive ones available. This is to follow George Soros' ways, I hope Warren Buffett won't be too upset as I only allocate small portion of the fund to this account.
